Hearst Radio, Inc., constructed this attractive site for it's station KYA on Candlestick Hill in the southeast corner of San Francisco. The modern art deco transmitter building housed a new 5 KW transmitter, A 450 foot self-supporting tower completed the new installation. It went on the air June 1, 1937.
